The Azores? What are the Azores? A well kept secret!

Turns out the Azores are a group of volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (formerly a Portuguese colony but now autonomous). They are called the Hawaii of the Atlantic, and you can see why with striking geography and beautiful landscapes.

The Santa Barbara Eco-Beach resort is situated between the mountains and the ocean and you’ve got the best of both worlds: an ideal place for adventure (hiking up a volcano, surfing, thermal baths, paddleboarding, whale watching) and a quiet place for yoga and restoration.

When –   2025

Where –  Santa Barbara Eco-Beach Resort -  on Sao Miguel, the famous “green” island   
                 
How –     Fly overnight (5 hour) from Boston Logan to Ponta Delgada (PDL) and 15 minute shuttle to the Santa Barbara resort

What is included –   

  • Blue Green Luxury Studio room equipped with a living area, kitchenette, and heated saltwater sharing pool

  • Buffet breakfast daily (breakfast only on departure day)

  • Lunch on arrival day and bagged lunch on our two hiking days

  • Dinner nightly (choose one of three options of fish, meat, or vegetarian in advance)

  • Infinity pool overlooking the beach & ocean

  • Daily yoga classes with Beth. On free days, a morning “athletic” alignment class and afternoon restorative class with meditation. On hike days, one yoga class (style based on departure time and length of hike).

  • Yoga mats and blocks

  • Wi-fi

  • VAT (taxes included)

  • Airport transfers if you arrive with the designated group flight

  • Two hikes with lunch. One to Furnas and thermal baths, and the other to Sete Cidades and Mosteiros. Hiking poles included.
